If you're succesfully being lied to you wouldn't know it. Start there why the country is divided. Most people have a longing to be accepted and understood, therefore to you you can't be wrong. Clearly people who have other views are the ones who are wrong. Now ask who is lying and dividing us. If you're on the left or right you're going to watch the news that agrees with your views. You won't learn many facts, just political propaganda and you won't change.
