The American Founding Fathers wanted freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. But they believed in the true meaning of separation of church and state and how Thomas Jefferson originally implied it to a letter to the Baptist church. That the Government needs to stay out of the church and religious institutions.
The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
The government has now established religions such as climate change and liberalism. They have continued to go after the Christians the hardest of any religion, Christianity is more in direct threat to their plans. Partly because the church had been silent and shut up, our country has gotten to this place now.
The First Amendment also gives freedom of the press and they are going after that too. Julian Assange and Edward Snowden and the Twitter files guys are what true journalism used to be about but they exposed the government and grievances against the government.
The right to assembly was also violated during covid and church shutdowns.
If Christians and Conservatives stopped being divided and argue over petty matters, we could take our country back united in things we have in common that bond us! Sometimes liberals seem more united too.
I need prayer and help I just woke up in the hospital unconscious since the 9th I was badly beaten by some thugs and robbed from. After everything I have been through the last 4 years there's this now too. I am very weak and tired. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. I won't be reading social media comments. I have a hard time admitting what I've been through because how judgmental and nasty people can be on social media but I had to now. I have no friend or family support. I have nobody but God and I've been through enough! Are there caring compassionate people out there anymore? Please pray and make good viral. My story is on there. Rebellion against God isn’t bold and “proud” (Isaiah 14:12–15)—it’s destructive. “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft…” (1 Samuel 15:23). The Left constantly rebels against God’s truth—mocking His Word, rejecting His laws, and even booing God at one of their DNC conventions just a few years ago. Romans 1 warns us of “vile affections” (v.26), “men with men” (v.27), and minds “given over to a reprobate mind” (v.28). This is the result of a heart that refuses to submit. Rebellion invites deception. The spirit of witchcraft blinds many—only repentance and truth can set us free.
